Bombed.. Did someone mention bombed?  Question?  Who were the guys that had the fetish for mail boxes and suff cans?  We had a real "threat" on your hands back then.  Think the ATF even got involve in that one.  I know it was Soph or Jr year because I was in Spanish class when I heard about it, and I didn't take Spanish my Sr year.  I had enough of "Caeta (Shut Up)" after my Jr year.

Why I hardly tell anything about anyone...hardly...
TOM Tevis...oops...I made a typo - there goes my 1 mistake for the year...good thing some nosey busy body NOT EVEN IN THIS CLASS could point that out for me...good grief all those stories are fun to think back on...and Bob, see how good I am at keeping secrets - I never once even mentioned your Choir class Christmas carol solo about figgy this or fuzzy that or whatever it was...I sometimes forget all the details...but Brent Roye knows the story if I recall.....

Alright Woody...now I know how we got caught on all that crap...YOU...you think just because it has been 30 years we can let all the cats out of the bag...hell, you may as well tell about the tractor wrecks and the toilet beer at the clan parties...If you know who bombed Tevis's house the night after he wilted, don't tell that for sure!.. don't think poker will happen if it is like every other time you are here....we usually stay up talking and strategizing all night long, and I am sure if we have help, we will need a week.

Well I went through and read everyone's blog, got to Jamie's and lost it.  It great to see you still are the same, Jamie, after all of these years.

I am still on my honeymoon since March 21, 2006 and loving every minute of it.  I finally found someone who loves my children and I like my father loves my mother.  Only thing, he's a peon.

We have 4 children.  Jared turned 25 today and lives in Bedford with his fiance' and my 9 month old granddaughter.  Lexi is 18 and lives in Lubbock with with her fiance' and my 24 month old grandson.  Jamie is a 14 year old  long blonde haired, green eyed, beauty.  Steven is my 13 year old pitcher, catcher and shortstop who will one day be as great as Derek Jeter.

I just recently left my job as Lead Advisor for the College of Human Sciences at Texas Tech after 10 years and moved to Abilene, TX.  I can't believe I waited until I was 48 to finally move.

I also started back to school in 2004 after going through a life changing divorce.  Working full time, going to school part time and raising 3 kids by yourself will tell you real soon just what you are made of.

We have only  been gone for about two weeks now, so I will try to come back for the reunion.  I have really looked forward to seeing everyone.  We have all been so blessed to have grown up in our time.

Hope to see all of you soon.

Rhonda, you have done a great job

Reading everyone's comments really brings back memories!  I do remember UNCLE NASTY'S, the first club I ever went to! Coldwater where I rode the mechanical bull!  Senior Kid Day when 5 of us (I won't mention names, but you know who you are!) wore pj's & brought baby bottles with rum & coke in them to school!  It's a wonder we all survived!  But we did!  Since I haven't made it to any of the other reunions, I'm really hoping that since we're back in Texas I'll be able to make this one!  SEE Y'ALL THERE!

I admit it - I have little hair....it was turnin grey so I allowed it to move on on its own to try to live a better life....ah the good old days...when outhouses really MEANT something....sorry for missing you old man Roye - quite possibly one of the best all around athletes Wester Elementary ever produced....Drum - your pretty wife won't mind if we allow women to join in our poker game will she?  I promise we will hardly ever mention the "strip" variation of the game of poker hardly at all......by the way - back in the streaker days, YES Bobby Drum did indeed streak - I seen it....and so did is dad, who caught us....I mean...caught HIM in the act.....now to most all of you old married farts that will need to be home in bed by 11pm so the wife won't gripe - NO POKER FOR YOU!! (no matter how you spell poker you won't be gettin none)
Ah yes....and here is a trivia question for some of you to discover - which member of our humble class has already been inducted into a Hall of Fame????

(man this is such a burden knowin all these facts about some of these convicts)

I'll be in town all day Friday if any of you guys wanna lie to your wives and tell em you have an afternoon "bidness meeting" and have a long lunch over 1, maybe 2 beers...

I have really enjoyed reading everyone's comments. I wish I had more notice for the reunion. I could be having bunches of fun

Carl Clawson, I cracked up at your email....NO FAT DAWGS, NO CHAR-KING.... You forgot ROXY'S , UNCLE NASTY'S, COLD WATER..dont forget SPANKIES (STILL THERE).. i hear ya, Lubbock has changed, but then agin has stayed the same IN SO MANY WAYS... Funny you stay @ the Holiday, It is a running joke. Wendy Bonner, & I stayed there last spring, got a free night due to ROACHES.
Put it in a matchbook, and took ti the desk.

I live in Arlington going on 20yrs. I have a 20yr old son, who will be a Sophmore in college. Texas Tech.. wow , can never really get Lubbok out of my system. I take pride showing him all the hot spots in town, or use to be HOT SPOTS...

I really enjoyed seeing everyone at the 20th. I will do everything I can to make the 30th, but it is not looking to bright.

Hey,,,,,,,, WHERE IS CHUCK GREEN???? He is probalby somewhere doing something incredably cool, we all just dream of.

I have a very long list of people I do not see on this...Even thought I may not attend the reunion, I would love to hear from so many of you.

Mrs. fosters  Punchbowl....she was the Home ec. teature who wanted the senior class gift to be a punch bowl.....

Mrs. Hildabrand was the teachet I beleive who found out....

Some stayed at my House the night of the "event" as my mom was saying ," you guys are going to get caught"  she still tells the story about the police was chasing someone and all she was hearing from us ,"did you get away from the cops"

The hero was gary law( who did not want to be involved, but enough peer pressure he let us use his pick up to get the outhouse''''

We did get permission from the farmer to dig up the outhouse....

These are the stories I heard since  I was not involved,

Yea I am like bobby " what out house " ?  It was the coronado clan.  I was probably the only one that had permission form my mom because she heard us on the phone setting up a time to get it.  But, like Carl if we would have it left it just the out house we would not have gotten into trouble but that wasn't us we were young.  Jamie you looked old at the ten year reunion.  All I know is at senior day we were some sad looking students in coostumes.  But the parties were great through our senior year.  Where are the Markussen's they surely know how to email.

Hey Bobby,

Poker sounds good to me and I can visit my folks since they live next door. I'll bring some money to loose since I suck at poker. Higgins is a damn good poker player. I'll let him play for me. I'll bring some Pedro's Tamales.

Not the young ones these days.  If they tried half of the stuff we did, they are in jail.  These days there is no " pore it out" at Maxie Park.  There is no "go to the cotton fields and don't let me catch you again."  Man, we were either lucky, spoiled, or both.  Of course it's those experiences have made me the "fine" father I am today.  My kids can't get away with anything.  I know signs.

Oh man. the "Out House".  Great plan, bad result.  I wraped my toe around a sprinkler head helping carry it the the wall of the school.  I tell ya, if I would have been in the patio it would have just been the Out House and it would have stayed all day I bet.  Boy, was my mom mad about that one.  That toe still bothers me to this day, makes me slice my golf dives, but we all can't be as good as Tiger and play on one leg.

It's June 15th, and I'm out here on business and staying in the downtown Holiday Inn.  Wow, this town has changed so much.  The Fox Theater is gone, Char King is gone, Fat Dawgs is gone, and the Town Draw is now called Cross Roads.  I can almost see TTU from here, the Tech Getto is all gone.  But I guess some constants still remain, Gardskies Loft still makes a good burger, lunch today, and the "Strip" is still alive.  I knew I was home agian, driving up from Lamesa, when I saw two dirt devils, Lubbock from twenty miles away, and a fanstatic sunset. Sometimes really I miss West Texas.

Damn you're getting old. :)

Life certainly takes you down diffrent paths but I've been blessed more than I deserve. Through heartache and undescriable happiness I've arrived at this point in my life were family and friendships are even more signifigant than ever. I've had schools mates pass on with so much life ahead of them.  I've lost contact with those that I thought would be friends for life and became good friends with those from school I never really new that well. Our 10 year reconnected me with  my good friend Steve Taylor.  I've known Steve since the 1st grade at Stewart E/S and we've  been in constant contact ever since. These reunions are important as they are apart of who we are and who we have become to some degree. God brings people into our lives and it's up to us who we allow to leave. I hope we all can reconnect with someone we were close with but have lost contact. I'm sorry to be so long winded but these are momories that I cherish. I want to sincerely thank all of those that cared enough to make this happen.

By the way, I have a 27yr old son that graduated from Coronado and went into the Marines. He now lives in Santa Barbara with his wife Heather (No Kids). I divorced when Dustin was 2 and waited a while before trying again and finally met my beautiful wife Mindy. which is a RN We've been married 17yrs. and we have three awesome boys. Austin (14), Braden (11) and Cason( 9) . We recently moved to San Angelo as the GM for 2 FM radio stations. Life is good and again I've beed blessed. Now I won't have anything to talk about so I can just dance and pary all night. :)

Thank you for being apart of my life.

Terry
